The external services of the Ministry of trade are organized into:

- 09 Regional Directions of Trade.

- 48 Wilayas Directions of Trade.

They are governed by the provisions of the Decree Executive No. 11- 09 15 Safar 1432 corresponding to January 20, 2011 on organisation, assigning and functioning of the exterior services of the Ministry of Trade.   

The Ministry of trade is considered as one of the important institutions responsible for the implementation of the economic politic and to ensure the integration of the Algerianeconomy into the world economy.
